How to setup multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your Wilcom account

Alert

Setting up two step verification on your Wilcom account provides an additional layer of protection for your account. This reduces the risk of having your account hijacked by malicious actors. Wilcom strongly recommends you take the time to set this up.

The set-up process is very straightforward. It requires you to login to your account, download a free authenticator app to your mobile phone and select Two-step Verification from your profile.

Step 1: Get an authenticator app

You can get a free authenticator app for your mobile phone, like Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator from the Apple App store or Google Play store.

Both of these authenticator apps work on Android or iOS.

Step 2: Login to your Wilcom account

Go to https://profile.wilcom.com/security and login using your email address and password that was registered when you created your account.

Step 3: Enable Two-step verification

Scroll down to the Two-step verification section till you see the “Set-up two step verification” button.

Step 4: Set-up the authenticator app and enable two step verification.

Open the authenticator app on your mobile phone.

Click the “Set-up two step verification” button in the profile page.

In the authenticator app, click the add account button and scan the QR code.

Enter the verification code created and click the “Enable” button.

All done!

Now, each time you login to your account, you will be required to enter a verification code from the authenticator app.
